Since we didn't play on Saturday, I took Colleen out to a movie... Jersey Girl, in fact. If you see it, and you are one who is wont to cry at the tear-jerking moments, then by all means, bring along a few hankies. As much as I don't really care for Ben Affleck, I did find this to be a rather decent flick. Kevin Smith has proven that he can write scripts that deal with real life, and not the misadventures of Jay, Silent Bob, Dante, and the rest of the crew.
Also managed to finally get to the comic shop after a hiatus of about a month or so... sifted through the pile (which wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be), got a decent batch, and put the rest on hold for next time.

Sunday, Colleen and I took my mum out for lunch at Panera for Mum's Day. We all had a good time with that. After that, C and I went bowling with our neighbours/league teammates, as a practice session. Since I didn't take my naproxen until just before we left for the alley, I was still in some painful discomfort. I adjusted my style a bit, and managed to do pretty well... my second string was a 111 (3 spares with decent fills in there), beating our anchorman once again in that string. However, I sucked in the first half of the third string, but managed to pull it up into the low 70s at the end.
Is it me, or is Tony Soprano becoming more and more of a prick this season than before?

More later as news warrants... and I'm thinking on rehashing an old topic for a new rant...

Re: movie

Not as yet... we may be holding off on some movies until they go to the cheap theater, or at least until the hoopla dies down. I've been hearing mixed reviews on Van Helsing, but I'd still like to see it for myself before forming an opinion.
