Well... I'd like to say that there's been some exciting times since Colleen's gone off on her vacation, but I'd be lying. Mostly, it's been rather quiet.
Thursday night was pretty much the "To Hell with the rest of the world" night, as I needed to rest up from being awake since pretty much 4am that morning.
Friday night was pretty much the same thing, but the reasoning behind that was the season 8 premiere of Stargate SG1. All in all, it wasn't too bad. I had the idea of promoting O'Neil to Brigadier anyways in my Stargate campaign. This just cinches it. However, I didn't get a hell of a lot of sleep. Didn't really get to bed until after 2am, and I had such a headache and the like that I resorted to taking a percoset, which didn't really kick in until between 3.30 and 4am.
Saturday, I gamed. Nothing special. Ran my two characters plus Colleen's. Afterwards, I ordered a calzone from DP Dough for dinner. Also got a haircut that morning (early on after maybe four hours of sleep). Conked out sometime after 10pm.
Sunday: Slept in until, oh... 8.30 or so, then puttered about the apartment until about noon before heading to That's Entertainment. The gentleman who draws the Mutts daily cartoons was there for signing, so I brought one of Colleen's books and a picture of Julius to have signed. He commented that asking for the picture to be signed was a first. He was very nice and obliging and eager to chat with his fans. Afterwards, I went to the market, then home. Spent most of the late afternoon and evening not feeling too hot (mostly nausea and/or bloated from drinking a lot of liquids during the afternoon). Couldn't really make my mind up about dinner, as I wasn't really in the mood to eat, but I knew I had to eat something. Ended up eating half a batch of ramen and a few frozen chicken tenders. Watched the Coupling season finale -- was sort of disappointed by part of it, but enjoyed most of it. Headache was coming on again, so I downed another perc before 10, and was out of it sometime around 11, I think. Slept well through most of the night.

Colleen's having a good time in Ocean City so far. She hasn't seen any dolphins swim by as of yet, but they did see a couple of skates in the water. Neat. I do miss Colleen, you know... I don't mind the time alone so much, but after a while the loneliness creeps in and I don't feel like doing anything, including cooking and eating. I just want to lie about in the living room, checking out what's on the TV. I'll read a few pages (currently going through The DaVinci Code) and give up after a chapter, maybe two. I want to work on some D&D stuff for a potential campaign or whatnot, but again, it's the drive to do so.
At least I know that I'll be working on the front room on the Sunday before she gets home. Perhaps I can get quite a bit of it straightened out...

More later as news warrants...
