Pink's Life
I forget when I last posted an update on what's going on and all... so here goes.
Sunday, my bro-in-law arrives early on in the day. The rest of the day deals with a little bit of shopping in various parts, and just general hanging about. My cold hadn't gotten any better, and I felt like hell during the day.
Monday, Colleen, Marcus and Johnny went to Colleen's school so Johnny could do his yearly theatre workshop with her class, and Marcus got to tour the other classes. Of course, he slept through the whole thing.
Me, it was back to work, and my sacro-iliitis decided to show itself again, this time on the right side. Hurts like a bastard when I'm trying to walk. Good thing I'm not bowling this summer.
I walked through our little lobby this morning to toss some english muffins that I found out had bold on them (in the nick of time, I think, at least with the second half), and sitting in there, reading a magazine while he waits for one of his remote control units to be repaired, is a guy who bears more than a passing resemblance to none other than Alton Brown! Will this prove to be a weird day? Or did I just ingest a tiny bit of bread mold and have started to hallucinate?
(New wonder drug, totally legal - toasted bread mold.)
Speaking of addictions... I'm hooked on this game on my Palm Pilot -- Space Trader. It's addictive. I can't explain why. You just keep zipping around and making deals, avoiding pirates and dodging the police (if you're doing anything illegal)... Fun.
Oh and by the by... today is Colleen's birthday. She may try to read some of her LJ online from my parents' PC today (since ours is still kaputt), so go over to
silvara77 and wish her a Hippo Birdie!
